Plot
In this powerful psychological thriller, eight-year-old Cole Sear is haunted by a dark secret: he is visited by ghosts. A frightened and unwilling channel, he is besieged by threatening visitations from anguished spirits with unresolved problems who appear without warning from the shadows. Bewildered by his paranormal powers, Cole lacks the maturity to understand his purpose and is too terrified to tell anyone about his torment, except child psychologist Dr. Malcolm Crowe, who has preoccupations of his own. As Dr. Crowe drills down to find the truth about Cole’s supernatural abilities, the consequences for client and therapist alike are a jolt that awakens them both to something harrowing beyond imagining.
